Here's 14 minutes of Horizon Forbidden West, which is probably coming to PC someday

Sony debuted 14 minutes of Purview Forbidden West gameplay in its State of Play presentation today, which you fire watch above.

Forbidden West has not been announced for PC, but we take up good reason to believe information technology'll eventually solid ground on our favorite platform. Horizon: Zero Come home was a onetime PlayStation exclusive that hit PC three geezerhood after its console debut, and performed admirably. According to a Sony Investor presentation, the Apparent horizon PC larboard gave the company a 250% return on its investment, which is to say IT gave Sony a very secure reason to do it whol again.

And again it did with Days Gone, which had its own successful Personal computer debut a a couple of weeks ago. We're also getting a Microcomputer edition of Uncharted 4, accordant to the like investor presentment, which is basically same Nintendo announcing Mario's coming to the damn computer.

We feel pretty confident forward that the sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn will also come to PC one day, though probably eld after it hits the PlayStation 5 sometime in 2021 .

The State of Play debuted 14 minutes of gameplay, and it looks pretty nice. I'm getting flashbacks to those antiquated Crysis vegetation technical school demos with how lush Forbidden West looks. The leaves are both viridity and numerous.

We also got a quick survey of whatever additions and changes to how Horizon plays. Mounted battle looks like a full-size deal, with enemies now riding machines, from little robo dinos to massive robo mammoths. It looks like climbing and fighting are more intimately integrated, with Aloy pop away arrows while scrambling upwardly walls. In that location's a glider today likewise, because every game needs a glider in this post Breath of the Wild world.

Underwater navigation looks like a marquise feature, both as region of your usual loose world geographic expedition and for stealthy combat purposes. We'll get some combat additions, as expected, like specialised moves and new gadgets. My favorite's the goop launcher. Aloy fires off a nasty pod at the mammoth and it explodes, gumming up the kit and boodle.

Overall it looks suchlike a safe subsequence, expanding in natural ways without totally redesigning the innovational Horizon. I'm looking forward to playing information technology with mouse-aim, hopefully sometime before I turn 40.

James Davenport

James is stuck in an endless loop, acting the Dark Souls games on repeat until Elden Ring and Silksong set him unhampered. He's a truffle pig for indie horror and weird Federal Protective Service games too, quest out games that actively hurt to play. Differently he's wandering Austin, identifying mushrooms and doodling grackles.
